Residential Electrical contractors in Florida can legally engage in construction contracts involving the following type of work:

• Residential electrical work is limited to structure not exceeding 2 stories in height
• Installation and repair of electrical systems in 1, 2, 3, or 4 family residences
• Work on accessory-use structures connected to a residence, like sheds and detached garages
• Residential electrical contractors cannot work on anything beyond single phase and 400-Ampere single service.
