Scope
Interlocking Brick Pavers—Class "F": The scope of work of a Class "F" engineered surfacing builder shall include and be limited to preparing the base, providing for proper drainage, and to selecting, cutting and laying interlocking brick. A Class "F" engineered surfacing builder shall not pour or finish concrete, except that which is required for the placing of the interlocking brick system. In order for an applicant to be eligible to be certified as a Class "F" engineered surfacing builder, the person shall have at least four (4) years of practical experience in the class. A Class "F" engineered surfacing builder shall not be allowed to do work on patios unless such builder also has been issued Pavers—Class "PV" certificate of competency.

The Interlocking Brick Pavers--Class F examination is based on trade-specific information pertaining to materials, tools, equipment, practices, terminology, and relevant laws. The examination is a two (2) hour, open book exam that consists of 50 questions.
